Rachel and I went to an author reading at Ethos in North Portland. Ethos is a music and arts school that is headquartered in a brick building, but this event was in its annex in a converted firehouse. So cool! We made drums and guitars out of scraps then heard two authors read from their books. One author passed out kazoos and the squirrel in Rachel's guitar wanted to play.
Also got a (h)ooligan hook tattoo on my foot. Yay for tattoo shops next to the vegan grocery and pastry shops! Was treated to a cookies n' cream cupcake with delicious frosting (cake was a bit dry) after my tattoo. It's like when you're a kid and you go well at the doctors so your mom gives you a treat.
I don't want to grow up.
